摘  要:This paper presents a new way for deriving solitary wave by using variational principle, which not only can be used to derive solitary wave according to Original Mathematical Equations (OME), but also can be used to derive solitary wave according to the Wave Equation (WE) derived from OME. With the same condition of wave height and water depth, WE-solitary wave and OME-solitary wave are compared in this paper.This paper presents a new way for deriving solitary wave by using variational principle, which not only can be used to derive solitary wave according to Original Mathematical Equations (OME), but also can be used to derive solitary wave according to the Wave Equation (WE) derived from OME.
